People embark on a get into
shape program with the intention of changing for the better, but a staggering number
of those people tend to fail for two reasons: 1) They lack the correct information
and 2) They are unable to get motivated and stay motivated. These are the
two biggest obstacles to lasting success in achieving and enjoying the
leaner, stronger, healthier body you desire and deserve.
REASON #1 – Lack the Correct
Information
Let’s say I called you today and asked you
to drive out to Cleveland Ohio to put together a personalized workout program.
Without hesitation, you jump into your car, drive to the nearest service
station, pick up a map and begin driving. As you get closer you begin to realize
something is not right as the street you just drove has the correct name, but
the numbers are all different. As you are about to reach the peak of
frustration, you suddenly realize you have a map of Akron rather than Cleveland.
Now let’s imagine you never realized you had the wrong road map, what might be
the reality. You would drive and drive and no matter what you do, you would
never reach your destination.
The moral of this exercise is, if you don’t
have the correct road map or directions, you will fail to reach your destination
and eventually lose your motivation to keep trying to find it. You can compare
this same analogy to the majority of “get fit programs” which hit the market
every year. If you start out with the wrong information, you will be doomed to
fail from the start…
REASON #2 – Lack the Motivation
Now… It’s not enough to just to be
informed! Even if you were able to find the right road map, you still will never
reach your objectives unless you take action and sustain action. Some people
have the right roadmap however; they never get the motivation necessary to drive
the trip. Motivation is the will power to take and sustain action with the
information you may already have. When it comes to getting into shape there is a
critical formula that you must have:
Correct Information +
Motivation results = Transformation
